But while Neighbors is known for launching the careers of now-Hollywood A-listers, it also featured some famous faces in one-off cameo appearances.
From drag queens to Spice Girls, boy bands to British comedians, a slew of celebs have – inexplicably – turned up in Erinsborough.
Ahead of the final episodes, which air on Channel 5 in the UK on July 29, we take a look at some of Neighbours’ most famous guests.
Neighbor’s most famous celebrity cameos
Emma Bunton
Emma Bunton appeared on Neighbors in 2007 when Dr. Karl and Susan Kennedy were visiting London and bumped into Baby Spice herself.
Russell Brand
Comedian Russell Brand appeared at the fictional Erinsborough Writers Festival in 2020, where he gave Toadie Rebecchi some life advice.
Courtney Act
Australian drag queen Courtney Act Erinsborough’s Mardi Gras in 2020 and later appeared as the MC at Lassiters’ Pride event.
Paula Abdul
In 2014, Paula Abdul checked in with Lassiters and met Karl Kennedy, who confessed that he was in love with her.
Lily Allen
Lily Allen appeared on Neighbors in 2009 where she was interviewed on a local radio station by DJ Zeke Kinski, and Karl Kennedy completed the interview.
Hanson
Boy band Hanson appeared at the Erinsborough Music Festival in 2019 and the brothers said they were honored to make a cameo.
Jess Glynne
Jess Glynne appeared at the same Erinsborough Music Festival in 2019, and the singer described her appearance on the soap as “a bucket list moment”.
Jake Scissors
Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears showed up in Neighbors in 2020, where he attended Mardi Gras and had an awkward encounter with Aaron Brennan.
