An eyewitness took to Twitter to share a video of the smoke rising, saying, “Massive fire in Stone, Staffordshire. Clearly seen from the golf club, the fire is raging.” A spokeswoman for the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was reported at 5:40 p.m. today.
Four fire trucks and about 20 firefighters fight the flames in Mount Road, Stone.
The spokeswoman said containers were on fire, but there are no reports of injuries.
Bakers Warburtons has a unit in an industrial estate on Mount Road. It has not been confirmed whether or not the fire is in the family business premises there.
The Staffordshire fire comes after a blaze cleared houses overnight on Red Cottage Drive in Calcot, Berkshire.
A number of houses, vehicles and a caravan were damaged by the fire for more than five hours.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement that the fire had affected two properties. Six firefighters with breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using two hose reels and two main jets.
More than 50 firefighters were on the scene at the height of the blaze, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service told the BBC. The incident has since been handed over to Thames Valley Police.
Meanwhile, a lorry fire on the M6 caused chaos on the roads with massive traffic jams in and around Preston, including on the M55.
The truck went up in flames just before 6 a.m. today and part of the highway was closed for several hours.
The images taken on site show the smoke rising into the air. A photo released by Lancashire Constabulary revealed the extent of the damage with the cab badly burned and the trailer destroyed. No one was injured in the fire.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Six fire engines from Preston, Fulwood, Penwortham, South Shore and Blackpool attended a vehicle fire on the M6 southbound between junctions 32 and 31. The incident involved a lorry that got out properly when the crew arrived.”

There were six miles of queues on the M55 with reported delays of up to 90 minutes.
In Devon, people were urged to keep their windows and doors closed today as a gorse fire spread further at Bolberry Down.
Firefighters have warned residents of Bolberry and Hope Cove, as the Devon and Somerset Fire Department said it was working to contain the “difficult” blaze.
