The total crime rate in Boston in 2021 was 100 crimes per 1,000 people, making it the most dangerous medium-sized city in Lincolnshire.
The crime rate was 25 percent higher in the market town than Lincolnshire’s overall crime rate of 75 per 1,000 residents.
Kim Fulcher, 26, a store clerk and cleaner, said: “People have been killed in Boston before, but no children. It’s just disgusting, I have a niece and nephew who are about the same age as this girl.
“I was at work at the time and people just called me up and called me about this.”
Another woman, who declined to be named, added: “There is no humanity in the world. It’s just cruelty, that’s it.”
