Fitbit announced this year’s fall range with two new smartwatches, the Versa 4 and Sense 2. Plus, an affordable fitness tracker, the Inspire 3.
Google may have bought the fitness tracking company but it seems it still has some good things to offer.
The wearable company has its Feeling to create its most advanced smartwatch aimed at managing stress. Heart health gets a spotlight on this device that has sensors that can detect signs of atrial fibrillation through the ECG app and PPG algorithm.
The Sense 2’s brand new Body Response sensor with the Continuous Electrodermal Activity (cEDA) sensor on the wrist monitors things like heart rate variability and skin temperature for stress management throughout the day. The Sense 2 is available for £269.99.
With the upgraded Versa 4, Fitbit has added over 40 workout modes, real-time stats, built-in GPS and Active Zone Minutes, plus Premium features like Daily Readiness for £199.99.
Finally, we have the Inspire 3 with an impressive 10-day battery life. At just £84.99 it’s an attractive entry-level device that still monitors vital health information.
Fitbit is also bringing a new heart health feature to the UK with the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications which uses the company’s photoplethysmography (PPG) algorithm.
This feature passively assesses your heart rhythm in the background while you are standing still or asleep. If there is anything that could indicate AFib, you will receive a notification via the Fitbit app so you can notify your doctor.
With the Google Pixel smartwatch just around the corner, it seems that Google is still counting on people picking up the more affordable and well-known option with the new range of Fitbits.
