Five people were shot on the boardwalk in Coney Island, Brooklyn, early Sunday, July 10.

Among the shots is a 31-year-old man who is in critical condition after being shot in the back, police said.

The victims were among eight people shot dead in the early morning hours in the city, including a woman who appeared to be an innocent bystander, police said.

The bullets flew to the Boardwalk and West 21st Street, where a “large group” of people gathered around 2 a.m., a police spokeswoman said.

Meanwhile, a 31-year-old woman was shot in the arm around 3:26 a.m. while walking on a Brooklyn street, police said.

“Looks like she ran and got hit,” said a police source, adding that the woman appeared to be an unintended target.
