The man was arrested after being told that the “spirit” had told him to light his boss’s future home.

Thanh Ha, 54, was recorded by several surveillance cameras cycling to a house under construction in St. Petersburg just before noon on May 3.

He fixed his bike to a stop sign and appeared to enter the house while trying to hide his face with clothing, a state arrest document obtained by WFLA.

Approximately five minutes later, it was recorded that Ha ran out of his house, unlocked his bicycle and ran away.

Future buyers of the home have identified Ha as one of their employees, the document states.

He admitted to burning the structure because the “spirit” told him, the officer wrote. He was angry with his boss and denied doing so.

According to the television station, he was charged with a second arson and his deposit is set at $ 10,000.
