A pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Hutt.
Four people have been arrested this weekend following a spate of shootings in Auckland.
There were two reported firearms incidents in Avondale, one in Ōtara and one in Gulf Harbour, Whangaparāoa, all of which were unrelated.
Police said four people had been arrested in connection with the Gulf Harbor incident.
