Manufacturing powerhouse Fremantle has appointed Mark Reynolds as global head of documentaries, reporting to Andrea ScrosatiCOO and CEO of the group, Continental Europe.
The director joined the company in January as interim global head of documentaries. “In his role, Mark will drive the growth of the Fremantle Global documentary activities, encouraging collaboration between production companies and labels around the world,” the company said.
Prior to his work at Fremantle, a subsidiary of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann, he was a consultant advising producers and distribution platforms on programming, co-production and distribution strategies. Previously he was unscripted portfolio director at BBC Studios. Reynolds also worked at BBC Worldwide, where he focused on commercial and content strategy for factual programming for global distribution.
“With his extensive commercial expertise in the unscripted genre on a global scale, Mark will continue to lead our premium documentary business, working with our world-class production companies and labels to position Fremantle as one of the leading players in this genre. ,” said Scrosati.
