GDP revised up – UK economy now grew in Q4

The Office for National Statistics has revised its GDP estimates for the fourth quarter upwards, meaning the UK economy has now grown in the quarter.

GDP is now estimated to have risen 0.1%, an increase from no growth.

The change is the latest good news for the UK economy, after the Bank of England and OBR both announced earlier this month that they would not see a recession this year.
