Gardaí has renewed a call for witnesses in connection with the 2014 murder of Paul Gallagher in Co Meath.
The twenty-six-year-old was shot and fatally wounded in a field in Ballymacan, Slane, Co. Meath, on Monday, July 28, 2014.
A Garda spokesman said Paul traveled to Ballymacan, Collon, Co Meath at about 10:30 pm, in the company of a man.
“In the village of Tullyallen, before arriving in Ballymacan, they were joined by two other men,” the spokesman said.
“Paul’s body was discovered in a field two days later and reported to An Garda Síochána. Mr Gallagher died of a number of gunshot wounds.”
An Garda Síochána appealed to public information at the time and at Crimecall in September 2014.
A number of arrests have been made in connection with this investigation, but no one has been charged with his murder to date.
Investigations into Gardaí continue to seek information in this case and believe a number of people have yet to come forward who may now be in a position to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
The spokesperson added: “Over time, a person may now be in a position to provide information to the Gardaí investigation that they were unable to provide at the time, or perhaps someone who did provide information at the time is in provide a position with further information.”
