The 60-year-old was found guilty by a jury of luring young girls into massage rooms for a disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein molesting between 1994 and 2004.
She was sentenced to 20 years in prison in federal court in New York’s Southern District last month.
Despite apologizing to her victims at her hearing, court documents show that Maxwell has now paid $505 (£420) to appeal both her conviction and sentence.
Jurors heard prosecutors describe her as “dangerous” during her three-week trial last year, and were told details of how she helped seduce vulnerable teens into Epstein’s various properties in order to sexually abuse him.
It appears from the file that her appeal has now been sent to the U.S. Court of Appeals.
