Piers Morgan rushed to Sir Paul McCartney’s defense after complaining that the singer did not play the Beatles song well at the headline in Glastonbury.
Sir Paul, 80, made history last night and became the oldest person to headline the Somerset Music Festival. Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl joined the stage as a special guest, and he certainly delivered an interesting set.
However, some viewers feel that Sir Paul hasn’t played enough songs from the Beatles’ iconic back catalog, so it doesn’t seem to be satisfactory.
Well, 56-year-old Piers didn’t have it, so he immediately posted the critics on social media.
“Twitter’s moaning Macca” wasn’t enough Beatles hits, “” the uncensored host said.
He continued:’He played Ca’t Buy Me Love, Love Me Do, I Saw Her Standing There, Lady Madonna, Blackbird, Get Back, Something, Let It Be, Hey Jude.

In a statement sent to Metro.co.uk, the BBC describes the situation and emphasizes “the complexity of broadcasting an event of this magnitude.”

Glastonbury continues today with George Ezra and Jack White’s surprise set and Kendrick Lamar’s final headline performance to conclude this year’s festival.
