Crime pays for Gold star Jack Lowden as he and Soairse Ronan spend £2.5 million on a new love nest in London
He currently captivates viewers as the villain in BBC One’s hit drama The Gold, based on the £26 million Brink’s-Mat heist in 1983.
But Jack Lowden and his star-studded partner Saoirse Ronan have a fortune of their own and have just spent £2.5 million on a new home in the posh North London enclave of Islington.
They bought the three-bedroom end-of-terrace Victorian property after the actress fell in love with the area while playing Lady Macbeth at the nearby Almeida Theatre.
Lowden, 32, has received acclaim for his portrayal of criminal Kenneth Noye in The Gold, and also stars alongside Gary Oldman in the hit Apple TV+ spy drama Slow Horses.
Ms. Ronan, 28, is widely acclaimed as one of the world’s leading film actresses, with four Oscar nominations for her roles in films including Atonement and Little Women.

The couple, who first met in 2018 on the set of the Mary Queen Of Scots film, in which Mrs Ronan played the title role and Lowden was her husband, Lord Darnley, had previously rented premises in Notting Hill, West London.
A friend of the couple said: ‘Jack and Saoirse had been looking for a house for a while, but they were both so busy with work that it was hard to get around to it. While appearing in Islington as Lady Macbeth, Saoirse realized how much she loved the surrounding streets.
“I don’t think it took much persuasion to get Jack to buy a house there.”
Ms. Ronan has fully immersed herself in local life and has been seen in nearby restaurants, as well as walking around the area with her beloved terrier, Fran.
The couple also went into business together and founded an independent film and production company, Arcade Pictures.
Ms. Ronan will soon begin filming the star-studded Hollywood blockbuster Barbie. In the film, due out next year, she would play an “alternative” Barbie to that of star Margot Robbie. Her boyfriend, Ken, is played by Ryan Gosling.
Speaking about his relationship with Ms Ronan, Lowden recently said: ‘We’re not competitive, not in the slightest, because I would lose. There’s just no competition, because there’s no competition.’
And he also compared his partner of five years to a luxury car, as he described working with her on a movie saying, “When you get a Ferrari like her, it’s about how you make everything right for the Ferrari to to show. out.’
