Senator Ademola Adeleke, the People’s Democratic Party candidate in the July 16 gubernatorial election in Osun state, has accused Governor Gboyega Oyetola of barring him from Osogbo City Stadium and Freedom Park, Osogbo, before his latest meeting.
Adeleke told the Daily Trust that he has personally pleaded with Oyetola to allow him to use the Osogbo City Stadium or Freedom Park for his mega rally, but the request was turned down.
He said;
“For our mega gathering, we are expecting PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and some governors. I won’t tell you the names of the governors to come. The PDP National Campaign Committee for the elections in Osun is showing commitment to this campaign, but we have no access to the stadium and Freedom Park.”
However, Osun State Information Commissioner Funke Egbemode denied Adeleke’s claim, explaining that the sites had been approved for other programs before Adeleke applied to use either one.
