Green Park tube station closed: fire alarm leads to evacuation as commuters rush to exits | UK | News

The station is currently closed following the evacuation, which took place around 2:30 PM.

Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed it was closed due to a fire alarm.

The London Fire Brigade is currently responding to the emergency.

@usdew on Twitter described the experience of the evacuation, saying: “Very efficient, although alarming. We were the last through the gate before they closed it, forcing everyone behind us to run to the other exit.

He added: “No stampede or yelling. All admirably British.”

Travelers are urged to reschedule their trip.

Underground tickets are accepted on London buses.

The tube station is served by the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines. The TfL website states that all three continue to provide good service.
