Harber London Nomad Organizer review: stylish, but pricey

There are plenty of ways to carry all your essentials. Many of us have kept a tech bag as standard, which often takes the form of a bulky backpack or messenger bag.

While effective, they’re hardly an elegant solution and sometimes make us feel like we’re back in high school.

The Nomad is a luxurious leather organizer designed to keep all your essentials in a sleek, stylish package. This includes an iPad, MacBook, iPhoneAirPods, keys, cards and more.

Handcrafted by artisans in Spain, the Nomad Organizer from Harber London is made from full-grain leather, available in four colorways. We received the navy, but it is also available in brown, black and deep brown.

The leather is buttery soft and Harber London notes that it will develop a unique patina over time.

We were particularly impressed with the quality of the stitching, which seems to withstand significant use.

The Nomad is also portable. It measures a diminutive of 14 by 10 inches, making it the perfect carry-along for almost any situation. It’s perfect for keeping all your tech essentials organized wherever you go.

An included over-the-shoulder strap makes it even easier to carry and transport in a super-thin messenger bag.

There’s something inherently frustrating about trying to pack all your gear into your standard tech-focused backpack.

The Nomad can hold quite a bit of stuff

Maybe it’s the inelegance of it all, the inevitable strand of spaghetti that happens, or the way you… AirPods tend to sink to the bottom and it takes forever to find – whatever it is, we’re not big fans.

That’s why we were happy to see that the Nomad offers enough dedicated spaces for the things you need every day. This includes:

• A padded laptop compartment that fits a MacBook Pro up to 14 inches
• A padded iPad pocket for a 12.9-inch iPad Pro or 9.7-inch iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard.
• A smartphone pocket that fits an iPhone 13 Pro Max
• A dedicated space for your Apple Pencil or favorite thin pen
• Cord and cable organizers that also fit AirPods/AirPods Pro and a AirTag
• Two card slots
• A special pen/pencil pouch
• A small zip pocket for cash and change
• A small multifunctional compartment that fits a small notebook or checkbook
• A key holder
• A larger zip pocket
• A larger multi-purpose pocket

All of these compartments together make a great way to keep all your items together and in a stylish package.

While the Nomad is designed to carry both an iPad and a MacBook, it shouldn’t be seen as just a tech bag.

We think the Nomad might be better suited to artists who like to use traditional media, such as sketchbooks, and digital media, such as the iPad.

A4-sized sketchbooks, if not bound on the side, fit easily into Nomad.

Its small size makes it perfect to take with you on a trip

Writers who like to have a notepad to hand will also appreciate that you can easily fit an A4-sized notebook or an XXL-sized Moleskine and still have room for an iPad or a MacBook.

It’s also great for carrying a book or a few magazines, making it the perfect companion for long plane or train rides.

We love our Nomad Organizer, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. We found some things that would improve the design.

The main problem is that there is nowhere to stick a power adapter or power bank. This means that as beautiful as it is, you’ll either have to carry a separate power adapter or rely on a single charge for your gear.

The secondary problem is that we wish there was a rigid internal structure. Sometimes when we pack things into the Nomad we can see the leather stretching around the item resulting in bumps. That is why we are afraid that the leather will stretch beyond repair.

We love the Nomad Organizer. We think it does a great job at what it sets out to do: keep your gear organized while still looking stylish and put together.

If money is no object and you don’t need to carry a power adapter with you wherever you go, then you are probably the target audience for the Nomad Organizer.
