Hayley Holt announced the arrival of her baby on Friday afternoon.
TVNZ presenter Hayley Holt and partner Josh Tito have announced the arrival of their baby, Raven James, who was born almost two weeks ago.
“Welcome to the world Raven James,” Holt wrote in an Instagram post Friday afternoon.
“Mommy and daddy love you to the stars and back.”
“We’re almost two weeks into it and we’re starting to get the hang of it,” she also said in the post.
Local celebrities congratulated the new parents.
“Congratulations so beautiful,” wrote former supermodel Rachel Hunter, and breakfast host Matty McLean posted, “I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU.”
Carly Flynn, TVNZ’s Renee Wright and The Hits announcer Laura McGoldrick also posted congratulations.
The Edge announcer, Sharyn Casey, who has spoken publicly about her own pregnancy and miscarriage trauma, also sent a congratulatory message to the couple.
“RAVEN!!!!!!!!!! Biggest congratulations to you and Josh, this is making me cry,” she wrote.
Holt announced her pregnancy in March 2022. Two years earlier, she and Tito . had lost their son, Frankie Taiwho was stillborn when the former breakfast host was six months pregnant.
In October of the following year, Holt . hosted spoke to Capsule about the heartbreaking loss.
During that interview, she revealed that she had also had a miscarriage in early 2021:
“That was hard. It caused a lot of those feelings about Frankie, but in an odd way it also took me past that stage of sadness where I was stuck.”
“It gave me a different experience that was separate from Frankie; it made me realize that things go on, they go on. It gave me a slight separation from that experience with Frankie. It initiated some more healing. But it was very difficult then.”
