A BROKEN retiree offers a £15,000 reward for finding his family’s missing dog.

Jim Scott, 91, always asks if border terrier Flossie, three, is back after she disappeared ten months ago.

The pet belonged to daughter Gill Keeley and her partner Nick. Jim, who lives alone, always cherished seeing her.

But Flossie went off the trail, into the bushes, and was never seen again when she was brought out onto the sand dunes between Seaton Sluis and Bluth. Northumberlandin Sept.

Daughter Gill Keeley told the Northumberland Gazette: “The loss of Flossie has broken my father’s heart and he always asks if she is back yet.

“He used to come over with treats for her and he’s devastated that he doesn’t know where she’s gone.

“My dad has always had dogs and feels like a part of his life was taken away when Flossie went missing.”

They’ve used endoscopes to search rabbit hutches, keep night vigils and look over the sand dunes in the ten months since she disappeared.

A social media call was shared by countdown Rachel Rileyactress Brenda Blethyn and crime writer Ann Cleeves and has been seen by 1.5 million people.

Gill added: “He was so upset about Flossie’s disappearance and recently asked if he could do anything to help, which led to the messages.

“He’s so excited that his call has reached 1.5 million people, which is ten times more than any other post we’ve posted before, and with celebrity retweets.

“His love for Flossie seems to have really touched people’s hearts.”

The family was nine miles from home when Flossie went missing and had driven to the dunes for their walk.

Gill added: “I was in a wheelchair because I broke my leg a few weeks earlier.

“I don’t think there’s been a day when someone in this group didn’t do anything to find Flossie.”

The dog has, among other things, characteristic white front legs.
