Our list includes some of the best ECG compatible smartwatches. We’ve included those that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and those that have the hardware but are awaiting approval. Those that have not yet been approved do not necessarily mean that they are not accurate. Still, they haven’t been thoroughly tested to be certified to be used for a few things, so we’ll highly recommend the approved smartwatches if you’re serious about taking your health tracking seriously.

Apple Watch Series 7
The Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatch is the company’s newest and most up-to-date smartwatch. Users can easily access the ECG function by placing their finger on the digital crown and holding it while following the instructions on the smartwatch display. Results only take seconds and are often reliable and accurate information, although dedicated EKG monitors are still preferred.
Once the EKG tracking is complete, the results are displayed in plain English in an easy-to-understand manner. The information is also recorded in the Apple Health smartwatch app and can be shared with a doctor. The Apple Watch Series 7 has received FDA approval and the EKG feature is available in North America and many countries in Europe and Asia.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 & Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are the company’s latest smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 4 series are the first smartwatches to come preloaded with the Wear OS 3 software, and they are some of the best smartwatches on the market today with ECG functionality.
On the Galaxy Watch 4 series, it only takes 30 seconds to get an EKG reading, and the user must rest their finger on the top button, and they must remain still while the tracking progresses. Their arms should also be placed on a flat surface for the most accurate results.
Once the measurement is completed, the user can go to the Samsung Health application on their mobile phone to see the results, and some basic information is also displayed on the watch itself. The ECG functionality on the Galaxy Watch 4 series has been approved in the United States, Europe, South Korea, and some other Asian regions.
The following Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro smartwatches are also expected to have ECG functionality. They may also have a few extra sensors to track even more information.

The Fitbit Sense is another excellent wearable on the market, which supports ECG tracking functionality. Like the other smartwatches at the top, it is FDA-approved and available in select countries, including the United States and Europe.

If you’re looking for a traditional smartwatch, this is one of the more expensive models without sacrificing features.

The Withings ScanWatch Horizon has the same set of features as the original Withings ScanWatch, but comes with a more luxurious traditional wristwatch design. It’s made of stainless steel and includes an ECG sensor, and it can track just about anything you need to stay or get in shape.

The Withings Move has a classic and minimalist look and is available in the colors white and black in 38 mm. Users can choose from three additional bands, including yellow, pink and green. Like other Withings smartwatches, it’s compatible with both iOS and Android devices and has a 5 ATM waterproof rating.
The watch can track sports activities, heart rate and sleep, and a built-in ECG sensor can track and display the results in just 30 seconds. The battery of the Withing Move ECG is also replaceable and can last up to 12 months. There are no digital displays here, but the mobile app can show all the relevant information.

The watch supports sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, SPO2, and EKG. HUAWEI says it will last about 14 days on a single charge, or about 8 days with heavy use. Like most of the other smartwatches on this list, this one features the 5ATM water resistance certificate for up to 30 meters and is compatible with Android and iOS platforms. However, some features may be limited to Android only.
HUAWEI Watch GT 3 Pro
