Signs of Seller Fraud
Here are some warning signs to watch out for when shopping on eBay:
- Short-term offers: Fraudulent sellers often want to close a deal as quickly as possible. The longer their listing is on eBay, the higher their chances of getting caught – so be careful if you see one-day deals. However, there are valid exceptions, such as tickets to an upcoming event.
- Highly discounted or sold out items: Be careful if a seller has a lot of high-quality items at suspiciously low prices or if a stock of hard-to-find goods is sold out everywhere else.
