Hollyoaks star Harvey Virdi has revealed that Misbah Maalik will go from ‘strength to strength’, despite rapist Ali Shahzad (Raji James) being acquitted in court.
As viewers know, last year the doctor bravely opened up and revealed that Ali had raped her, and in subsequent scenes saw him report the crime to the police.
However, Ali managed to evade justice after the case against him fell apart in court, leaving him acquitted.
The development left Misbah in shock, but it was Ali’s recovery at Dee Valley Hospital that really upset her.
But despite getting away with his crimes, Ali will get some sort of reward in the coming scenes, as his refusal to accept that he is no longer in control will ultimately prove to be his undoing.
Misbah, meanwhile, will focus on herself and her family, while actress Harvey promises some ‘thrilling’ scenes for the Maaliks!
“Hopefully there’s a lot more drama to come!” the actress told metro.co.uk† “Exciting things are coming.
“Misbah goes from strength to strength in terms of being stronger as a woman. Her kids are grown now, so she’s trying to make sure they’re all okay, and hopefully she’ll find where she fits in with all of that.
At the moment she is very involved in Shaq’s love life [laughs]she tries to make sure he is okay and puts him on the right path.
“She’s starting to build other relationships and get to know Zain. But I can’t give at far away!’.
