CHATEAU can be king of the castle.
He ran well in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot last time, despite finding the 5f trip on the short side. He finished well and this longer distance should be ideal.
Rogue Lightning showed good pace in winning on debut and is a threat along with Believing getting a handy filly fee.
CASTLE 5
CHATEAU king of the castle. Finished well when last time fourth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. Step on a furlong here, which should be ideal, and he’ll be there.
COLD CASE 3
GOOD case. Solid second on Carlisle debut and then stepped up when entering York at the latest. He has proven himself during this journey and deserves his chance in this higher degree.
LEGEND OF XANADU 1
LEGEND a mystery. Didn’t seem to last a 7f when he was well beaten in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. He’s won nicely before at Redcar and Epsom, but this is much more difficult.
NEW DEFINITION 3
NEW sensation. Showed good pace winning this trip at Kempton in the latest weather conditions. It’s taking quite a walk in class now, but the first cheek pads should help and there’s more to come.
PEMBROKESHIRE 1
BROKE on Pem. He showed some promise when he won on his Yarmouth debut, but he didn’t seem like an obvious contender to rise that high in the ranks so quickly.
REMARKABLE POWER 1
STRENGTH is weak. Two good girls win over 5f but have found it hard in class ever since, even when held well in this class at Sandown.
ROGUE LIGHTNING 4
Lightning fast. Looked well above average as he landed four lengths on his Newmarket debut last month. He accelerated nicely and looks up to this level.
BELIEVE 4
BELIEVE in believing. She wouldn’t hit the Royal Ascot stalls for a close-up fourth in a Newmarket Listed race last time. She enjoys this trip and gets a handy filly allowance. Just look at her in the beginning.
