About 45 volunteer firefighters from Queenstown, Frankton, Arrowtown and Alexandra spent several hours yesterday morning trying to bring a fire at Queenstown’s Speight’s Ale House under control. The significant fire started in the kitchen of the restaurant and spread through the ducts to the ceiling of the 142-year-old building.
