Cristiano Ronaldo may be approaching the final chapter of his illustrious football career, but the iconic striker has set his sights on a final victory with the Portuguese national team.

The 38-year-old will look to guide Portugal by qualifying for European Championship 2024which will take place in Germany next year.

Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia at the end of 2022holds a number of prestigious individual records – and that extends to international football with Portugal.

But exactly how many goals has Ronaldo scored for his country and which international titles currently occupy his trophy cabinet?

How many goals has Cristiano Ronaldo scored at international level?

Ronaldo has scored in total 118 goals in 194 appearances for the Portuguese national team since his debut in 2003.

This makes the 38-year-old the highest goalscorer in international history, with his record-breaking 110th goal for Portugal against the Republic of Ireland in September 2021.

The previous record was held by Ali Daei, who scored 109 goals for Iran in his 13 years with the national team.

Of his incredible 110 goals, eight have been in his five World Cup tournaments – surpassed only in a Portuguese shirt by the legendary Eusebio with nine.

Ronaldo’s 14 goals in the European Championships make him the highest goalscorer in the competition’s history, while also being the only outfield player to have played in five euros.

What trophies has Cristiano Ronaldo won with Portugal?

Ronaldo has won two trophies with Portugal during his 20-year spell in international football.

The first title was won at Euro 2016, with his three goals helping the Seleção win their first ever trophy in their history.

In the final at the Stade de France, Ronaldo was forced off the pitch in tears after a collision with Dimitri Payet in the eighth minute, but those tears were soon forgotten when Eder struck in extra time to ensure the trophy went back to Lisbon.

Ronaldo’s second trophy in Portuguese red was the Nations League win in 2018, courtesy of wins over Switzerland and the Netherlands in the final in Portugal.

Ronaldo’s international career began with heartbreak when hosts Portugal were defeated by surprise champions Greece in the Euro 2004 final.
