How to get the best Fortnite Creative 2.0 maps to explore

There is no limit to what you can create (Photo: Epic Games)

There are some great custom islands to explore in Fortnite, including recreating a Call Of Duty map and the OG Fortnite Island.

Fortnite Creative has always been a fan favorite feature, giving you the ability to create your own games within the game… sort of a Fortnite inception.

From Squid Game inspired challenges to classic Call Of Duty mapsthere are plenty of player-made islands for you to explore, if you’re already tired of the new Mega City region.

The Unreal editor for Fortnite is only a few hours out, but there are already some beautiful new islands, ranging from escape rooms to a vast forest.

As usual, accessing custom islands on Fortnite requires their specific code, unless you want to search ages for them on the Creative page.

So, here’s a list of some of the most impressive islands created in Creative 2.0 to date, along with their island codes:

After a brief preview of the Forest Guardian Island during the reveal trailer for Unreal Editor for Fortnite, it’s now time to jump in and explore its incredibly detailed environment.

You will find yourself running around in what appears to be an endless forest, where a huge dragon is waiting for you. The epic battle with the beast really shows the scale of capabilities of the new technology added to Fortnite.

The Space Within: 9836-7381-5978

This island was also shown briefly in the reveal video for Creative 2.0 where a character runs down a sci-fi style hallway.

However, the space-themed room is only part of the island, as you must navigate through a series of themed rooms filled with tricky puzzles and obstacles.

If you like escape rooms, you don’t want to miss The Space Inside, which also makes full use of the lighting effects of the Unreal Editor.

Abandoned Domination: 8035-1519-2959

Does this sound familiar? (photo: epic games)

If Deserted Domination feels familiar, it’s probably because it looks like it’s straight out of Call Of Duty. In an arid desert environment, you must capture and keep possession of three flags belonging to the opposing team.

With its impressive lifelike graphics and diverse weapon options, this island is perfect if you’re looking for an intense military experience that incorporates Fortnite’s signature weapon mechanics.

Gemstone Magnate: 6265-7588-5080

Away from frenetic, action-packed islands, Gemstone Tycoon could easily serve as a Fortnite and Bejeweled crossover.

While you don’t have to match gems on this island, as a manager of a gem factory you have the power to upgrade machines and build new areas.

While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, Gemstone Tycoon certainly offers a calming diversion from the norm.

The Arcade: 3638-6410-4991

Droopy Flop, Flappy Bird, what’s the difference? (photo: epic games)

Keeping up with retro revival trends, this island allows you to travel back in time and experience a very analog aesthetic in Fortnite.

It’s called Droopy Flop and it’s clearly inspired by Flappy Bird, although thankfully it’s not that frustrating to play and there are a lot of different selectable characters.

Pirate Adventure: 2810-0903-5967

Ahoy buddy! (photo: epic games)

If you want to live out your wildest pirate fantasies then Creative 2.0 has you covered with the Pirate Adventure.

Sail the seven seas, loot shiny treasures and take on daring missions and enemies. It’s very similar to Sea Of Thieves, but that’s clearly on purpose, and at least the graphics are better.

AND Fortnite Map: 2179-7822-3395

Last but not least, this island allows you to take a Fortnite history lesson and explore the OG Chapter 1 map.

You can relive the good old days of Tilted Towers and other long-lost areas with a pickaxe in your arm, and with more things to come in the future.

Keep in mind that this island is still evolving, but the nostalgic reward is worth it, even if it’s not (yet) exactly the same as you remember it.
