NEW DELHI: Hewlett Packard Companies (HPE) said Thursday it has entered into an agreement to Morpheus Dataa company that makes software for hybrid cloud management and platform operations.
“The acquisition of Morpheus reflects HPE's commitment to simplifying business operations IT complexity by expanding the hybrid operational capabilities available through HPE GreenLake CloudHPE said in a statement.
Morpheus will deliver multi-vendor and multi-cloud application provisioning, orchestration and automation, as well as FinOps capabilities for HPE GreenLake. Morpheus complements HPE’s acquisition of IT operations management leader OpsRamp in 2023, the Texas, U.S.-based company said.
However, HPE and Morpheus Data have not disclosed financial details of the agreement.
Morpheus Data, based in Colorado, USA, has over 400 customers and tenants and over 100 certified partners.
“With the acquisition of Morpheus Data, we are taking the next major step in making HPE GreenLake Cloud the de facto platform for innovation in hybrid IT,” said Fidelma Russo, executive vice president and general manager, Hybrid Cloud and CTO at HPE.

Together, we can help more customers transform their multi-cloud, multi-vendor IT estates to thrive and innovate in this increasingly complex and fragmented IT landscape,” said Brian Wheeler, co-founder and CEO of Morpheus Data.
Wheeler wrote in a separate blog post that with the addition of Morpheus, HPE will be the first vendor to offer a full suite of hybrid cloud capabilities for traditional, cloud-native and AI workloads for commercial, public sector and service provider organizations worldwide.
It should be noted that HPE is also in the process of acquiring Juniper Networks in a $14 billion deal. This deal recently received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI), as well as the UK Competition Commission and the European Commission.
