The Wolverine star urged his followers to take care of their skin in the sun.

Hugh Jackman revealed to his 31 million Instagram followers on Tuesday, he is awaiting the results of two biopsies to test for basal cell carcinoma on his face.

Appearing in a video he posted with a bandage on his nose, the Wolverine actor said his doctor saw “little things” that may or may not be the type of skin cancer he had five years ago.

He pointed out basal cells, “in the world of skin cancer are the least dangerous of them all.”

He said he expects to find out the results in the coming days and will “let you know”.

The Australian actor was treated basal cell carcinoma in 2017and in 2021, he posted an Instagram video revealing that he had two biopsies in two years.

“I know you’ve heard me talk about my basal cell carcinomas before. I’ll keep talking about it, if I need to,” he wrote in the caption.

“If it reminds even one person to slather on sunscreen with a high SPF, I’m happy.”

The Hollywood actor went on to ask his followers to take care of themselves when it comes to skin cancer and to protect themselves.

“Please wear sunscreen, it’s just not worth it,” he said.

“Put on sunscreen”.

Back in September last year, Jackman announced that he would be returning as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, due out in 2024.
