SO many YouTubers have bought return pallets and show what they received.
And while this has gone quite well for many, it was not the case for Grace Boothwho bought a £600 return John Lewis pallet but was very disappointed with what she received.
The first problem with the items becomes apparent when she reads why one microwave oven was returned to the store.
“This one has a little note,” she says, “that says it’s overheating, firing, and burning, so I feel like I don’t want to test that.”
She also adds that the product image on the pallet she ordered was a SAGE coffee maker, which she assumed would be included in the order.
However, this was missing on arrival.
In the pallet, Grace received three irons, two of which worked well, but the third was completely broken.
Of the two milk frothers she was given, one worked, but the other was faulty.
She then unpacked and went to try out a steam mop but again this didn’t work and had a note saying the customer didn’t want a repair.
“It’s so weird because the lights are all on and it’s heating up, but for some reason there’s something that just doesn’t connect,” Grace laments.
The second steam mop is missing pieces, so she can’t even test it to see if it will work.
She then tries out a pair of toasters, which also have mixed results, with one working fine and one faulty.

Her next item is a kettle, which Grace says is a bit temperamental, but it seems it will work most of the time.
After the kettle, she goes on to test three coffee machines, one of which is missing the water jug, meaning absolutely no coffee can be made.
One of the others doesn’t even turn on, and the last one turns on and makes some noise but then nothing comes out.
Then she unwraps a soup maker that has clearly been used and probably hasn’t been washed. However, once Grace washes it, it works fine.
Next up is a pressure cooker, which comes with a note stating that while the other functions all work, the pressure function does not.
Which may not be great for a pressure cooker, but Grace can cook rice with it, so it does have some uses and isn’t completely broken, unlike some other items.
She has also received three electric whisks, one of which is not working while the other is missing parts and thus cannot really be used.
Then she unwraps a razor, which Grace can’t test because she doesn’t have a beard.
After unpacking three electric blankets, Grace discovers that none of them actually work.
The last item she tests out is a microwave, which turns on and looks like it’s working, but when she tries to heat up some water, it comes out freezing cold.
Grace finishes her video saying, “I’ll never do a return pallet again,” and advises others not to buy it either.
She adds that it would have been much cheaper for her if she’d just bought the items that worked instead of buying the pallet.
