I do not regret working with Abacha

Hamza Al-Mustapha, a former aide to the late General Sani Abacha, said he did not regret working with the late military dictator.

The Action Alliance (AA) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election said this while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, July 1st.

“I’m not sorry, once you join the army, you have to be open-minded to work anywhere,” Major Al-Mustapha proclaimed.

Al-Mustapha has also revealed that loyalty to Nigeria is the reason why he is running for the post of president again in 2023.

He said;

“This time I have decided to respond to the calls of many Nigerian elders and young people from the North to the South and numerous collaborators with whom I have worked, to accept the call and to compete.

“The passion we have for this country is much more in the sense that the challenges we face yesterday and the deep appreciation for where we are today are only for those who truly care.

“It’s that sense of awareness, that commitment through the energy of patriotism that has brought us forward to face politics.”
