A MIDWESTERN who first shopped at Publix has revealed what shocked her most about the beloved supermarket.
Publix is largely located in the South, so not everyone in the US has the chance to experience what it’s like to shop at the supermarket giant.

She had never shopped at the store before as she is originally from Wisconsin.
And while she’s shopped at other major supermarkets in New York City where she now lives, such as Wegman’s, she hasn’t had the chance to experience everything Publix has to offer.
But on a recent trip to Tennessee, she found that Publix offers some pantry staples that are better and more affordable than other stores.
One item she took home: Publix brand macaroni and cheese.
The fact that it was a certified kosher product was important to Talia and something she has not often encountered in other stores.
The Publix store brand ice cream also caught Talia’s attention.
In addition to the classic flavors, she noted the variety the brand offered, which included elk spurs, cherry nut, and chocolate almond.
The Wisconsinite was also impressed with the large cheese display Publix had.
She said it was “similar to displays I’ve seen in Midwestern stores.”
Talia also noted how well stocked the kitchen utensils and electronics aisles were.
“The kitchenware department had enough pots, pans, utensils and gadgets to completely fill a kitchen,” she said.
She also noted that the electronics section is similar to that of Target or Walmart, which is largely uncommon in supermarkets.
Publix is known for its range of hot and prepared dishes, which also caught Talia’s attention.
She also noted that the sushi up for grabs and set up from the store “looked delicious.”
Her biggest takeaway was that Publix was a “one-stop shop that I wish I lived close enough to make my favorite grocery store.”
