Wimbledon is the latest real-world event to jump into the virtual Metaverse.

The competition and venue were brought to Roblox to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic Center Court.

Digital recreation is pretty decent, but not so big.

You can also play tennis with other players on the center court. Most of us don’t really have the opportunity to play tennis.

Or, of course, you can sit down and watch other players.

It’s a pretty relaxed environment, perfect for Wimbledon.

But the center court is very noisy-it never washes with the referee in the real world.

Outside, you can explore other small tennis courts.

There’s even space for a picnic-and the risk of an unpredictable British summer turning into rain is zero.

You can also find Sir Andy Murray.

Of course, this is just a virtual replica and he provides guidance on workarounds.

Apparently, if you have an Amex card, you can access the exclusive Andy Murray Experience. Here you can join the quest with the virtual Sir Andy and take a selfie with him.

Even more interesting are the video highlights from the actual tournaments on the screen scattered around the location.

The Wimble World, called the Wimbledon in the Metaverse, wouldn’t be possible without a gift shop.

Here you can exchange “Wimblebux” (cryptocurrency) for digital items, including clothing from Ralph Lauren’s 2022 Wimbledon collection.

Having joined Wimbledon for the first time recently, Metaverse Recreation is second to none with the actual event and all the strawberries, creams and pimm’s that accompany it.

But this is a fun way to attract a new generation, with about 55 million active users per day.
