Clara Peters Okpara Duruebube, wife of Bishop Felix Okpara Duruebube, has revealed in Faecbook that she is assisting her husband after allegations that he* abused a minor for 1 year.
Felix, the 39-year-old pastor of Mercy House Church International, was remanded in custody at the Port Harcourt Correctional Center last month by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The suspect was arraigned by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) on two charges.
When reading the indictment, the chief magistrate had said that between April 2021 and May 2022, Bishop Duruebube had unlawfully abused and* abused a 16-year-old girl.
An alleged audio of his conversation with the alleged victim was later released, shocking listeners (read here).
His wife, Clara, responded on Facebook to make it clear that she is standing next to her husband.
