MANY new moms find baby groups a helpful way to connect with other women who are going through similar experiences.

However, one woman has claimed to “hate” them, criticizing them for being “cliques” and “overwhelming”.

TikTok user Liliana Brancowho has two children under three, said: “Baby groups are NOT welcoming and fun!

“Half the time you go and the moms have already formed little cliques, so unless you’re going with a friend you might as well stay home and play with your baby.

“They don’t talk to you and try to get to know you, instead they judge you by how you look.

“Then you have the competitive moms who play the sole proprietorship game.

“Not to mention the cost of £10 per baby class when you’ve paid £600 statistically – make sense.

“It’s a scary overwhelming place.”

Her video on her @liliana_branco account has racked up over 4,000 likes and people praised her honesty.

One said: “Say it louder for the people in the back!”

Another added: “I’m literally going just for my son. Change of environment and new activities. I hate them all, but it’s all for him.”

And a third commented, “This is why I’m not going there. I already have bad anxiety. I don’t need judgmental moms to make it worse.”

Not everyone agreed, however, and one person said: “These comments are really sad. “As a new mom, I thought baby groups were great for getting out and meeting people who are going through what you are.”
