It all happened so fast.

One minute, beloved TV presenter Anthea Turner While she looked impeccable in her black jacket and trousers on one episode of Noel's House Party, the next she was left laughing and gasping as she was covered from head to toe in a yellow-green substance.

And I was, I can't say it any other way, excited.

I remember turning red and feeling embarrassed by my body's immediate reaction, but mostly I remember being surprised that no one else around me seemed to have the same reaction.

Although I didn't know it at the time, I had just discovered what a fetish from me for the years to come – 'to splash'.

What is sploshing?

This term generally describes a person who covers themselves or someone else with a usually wet and messy substance in order to sexual stimulation or excitement.

My favourite liquid? Custard. And I now regularly spend between £40 and £100 a week on women who slather themselves in the usually yellow sauce and send me the videos.

While Anthea's enthusiasm on Saturday night TV is undoubtedly my 'sexual awakening' – seeing a celebrity, or any other member of the public, covered in slime was not exactly uncommon on 90s TV shows.

Gunge tanks were a regular fixture on shows like Live and Kicking and Get Your Own Back. And I for one loved it.

At first I felt uncomfortable around others and tried to watch it alone, but then I learned the term 'sploshing' after finding a copy of Splosh magazine on eBay when I was 16 or 17.

I quickly learned that there is a 'messy' scene, full of people like me, and I finally felt validated.

Even though I knew I wasn't the only one, I was always afraid of being ridiculed for my preferences, so I kept it to myself.

But in the early 2000s, while searching the internet, I found a website that introduced me to producer-made content for the first time.

Around the same time I found a forum for sploshers, who all had their own preferences in substances, such as goo, cakes and mud. And that's how I found my people.

I immediately felt at home and was able to chat with others and see what they liked.

While many were interested in being covered in all sorts of textures, I found custard and colored goo to be extremely erotic. It’s the way custard looks and the way it covers a body – it’s soft and smooth and it sticks really well.

But when I started to date I have made a conscious decision never to admit that I like splattering. I was always honest with women about my sexual preferences and interests, but I kept this particular nod close to my chest.

It came from fear of rejection and ridicule – I lived in a small town and knew how the news spread.

Of course this always bothered me to entail relationshipsI always felt like I wasn't being completely honest and that my kinky, sparkly tendencies were definitely not being satisfied.

That was ultimately why I started requesting videos from strangers five years ago.

I had more money to spend, and sites like OnlyFans and ManyVids were becoming more and more popular, so I decided to try it anonymously.

I first approached a model on ManyVids. She said she was “fetish friendly.” She had never heard of sploshing, but the more I explained to her, the more she wanted to try it.

I think she was most surprised that, unlike her regular customers, I wanted her to keep her clothes on!

I asked OnlyFans creators with large followings on X if they want to do it, but I've also placed ads on sites like AllThingsWorn – where women sell used panties – and others to find willing parties.

My ideal scenario is that a beautiful woman is wearing a bikini or bra and pants before she covers herself in custard. I usually ask them to throw five liter cartons over their head so it pours down their face and body.

If that doesn't pique their interest enough, I'll sometimes Just try saying that custard is a great hair conditioner and moisturizer.

However, this is not a trick. Almost all ladies who have tried it agree that this is the best kept secret of the beauty industry!

If they decide to go ahead, they normally charge £4 per minute for a 10 minute video, plus the cost of the custard. I'm happy to pay that.

I always go for premium brands – I don’t want to offend anyone by suggesting they only deserve their own brand of supermarket stuff. Only the best is good enough.

Then I ask them to send me the underwear they wore in the video.

I learned the hard way though that I had to ask for them to be washed before sending them in. I was once sent some that were still full of custard and, not surprisingly, they had gone bad in the post.

I don't just get turned on by women who cum on themselves. I also like splashing around on my own.

The first time I did it myself was as part of a challenge from a fellow splasher. But since I share a house, I had to choose my moment carefully.

It felt amazing to step into the shower and throw a thick layer of gunk all over myself. Yes, it is my sexual kink, but I also find it very relaxing. The soft feel and bright colors were and are very calming to me.

Admittedly, it almost ended in disaster, as I was super slippery at the end. To be honest, I was lucky I wasn't found in the bath by returning housemates.

Now however, I splash about once every few months.

I love having my fetish, I don't want to lose interest in it and I like that it's a secretive part of my personality.

To this day I have never splattered with a woman in real life. I wish it was more normal like foot fetishes and BDSM have become, but it is my own issues with ridicule and rejection that keep me from trying it in real life.

Splattering isn't talked about much in the press and gunging isn't as common anymore, but it still happens occasionally.

For example, last May I saw a photo of Nigella Lawson covered in salted caramel on the cover of women's magazine Stylist. Once again I was very upset.

I know this may not have been the intention of the shooting, but it does give me hope that Photoshoots like this and the opportunity to tell my story are what makes splattering mainstream and 'normalize' it.
