Gary Neville compared Manchester United to an ‘Under-9s’ side in their embarrassing performance against Brentford in the premier league.
Neville criticized the lace Erik ten Hag opted for the game, claiming collectively they were far too small to handle the physicality of the game, despite the return of a fading star Cristiano Ronaldo to the starting position.

“Ten Hag chose the smallest team he could hope they would play against Brentford. You have to deal with the physical side of the Premier League. It’s like a men’s team against Under 9s.
‘Last Sunday didn’t surprise me. I thought they would do better today away from Old Trafford. But they are torn. Picked on. Messed around with like you wouldn’t believe in this first half hour.
“Brentford has been brilliant. Well done Thomas Frank. I just thought today’s heat would keep Brentford from playing their usual reckless game. Brentford were brilliant but United helped them. There is no response from United.

Neville doubted there was anything Ten Hag could say to his side to change the outcome
It took just 10 minutes for the Ten Hag side to fall behind after Josh Dasilva’s attack from distance meandered through a diving David de Gea, and the lead was doubled just eight minutes later by Mathias Jensen, who made a defensive error.
The hosts then went on to score four goals from Ben Mee in the 30th minute and Bryan Mbeumo at the 35th minute, both of whom were knocked out by Ivan Toney, with the Bees giving an insurmountable lead at the halftime whistle.
And the former United right-back doubted the Dutch manager could do anything to change the result in his team talk at halftime after such a dismal display.
