Jennifer Lopez and ben Affleck can finally get married after reportedly tied the knot in Las Vegas.
The couple, affectionately called Bennifer, engaged in April more than a year after reconciling their romance.
They first dated in the early 1990s but called off their marriage just days before the wedding before finally ending their two-year relationship in 2004.
Now reports claim that the Hollywood stars are officially husband and wife after obtaining a marriage license in Vegas.
Court documents were reportedly taken on Saturday in Clark County, Nevada under the full names of Jennifer and Ben – Jennifer Lynn Lopez and Benjamin Geza Affleck.
A source told TMZ that the couple took their vows and got married, while another revealed the first details of the reported marriage.
The initiate told Entertainment Tonight: ‘They have so much fun together and thought this was a great idea. Ben is absolutely in love with Jen and feels loved by her too. They both feel so comfortable with each other and love that they share history and know each other so well.”
In April, Jennifer, 52, announced she was engaged to the Batman actor and revealed the beautiful green ring he presented to her during the intimate proposal.
Jennifer shared details of the special moment Ben, 49, got down on one knee, Jennifer wrote on her blog: “Saturday night, while at my favorite place on earth (in the hot tub), my beautiful love got down on one knee and her asked to marry.
‘[I] just looked into his eyes as he smiled and cried as he tried hard to understand that this was happening all over again after 20 years”
She added: “I was literally speechless and he said, ‘Is that a yes?’ I said: “YES of course, that’s a YES”.’
It has certainly been a whirlwind romance for the couple, who began dating in July 2002 and got engaged in November of the same year. However, they postponed their wedding, which was scheduled for September 2003 and eventually broke up in January 2004.
Jennifer then married singer Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 14-year-old twins Max and Emme, but their union ended in 2014. Ben married actress Jennifer Garner and the two co-parents of their three children – Violet, 16, Seraphina. , 13, and Samuel, 10 – after their breakup in 2015.
Bennifer got back together in the spring of 2021 – 17 years after their breakup – and just months after Jennifer ended her engagement to Alex Rodriguez.
In February, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer shared about her second round with Ben: “We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re in different places in our lives. , we have children now and we need to be very aware of that.
“It’s a great outcome that this has happened this way at this time of our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate and respect each other.”
She added: “We’ve always done that, but we appreciate it even more because we know that life can take you in different directions.”
