Joyce’s first assignment on his return to the ring is a clash with Hammer, who is a massive underdog in his final fight with a British fighter, previously taking on Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury, David Price, Michael Sprott and Danny Williams.
The ‘Juggernaut’ will be only too happy to set a milestone on home soil in London, as he was unable to build further momentum after his shock break from Daniel Dubois at the end of 2020.
Joyce will defend his WBC silver and WBO international heavyweight titles on Saturday night and will look to maintain his mandatory challenger status for the full WBO title currently held by Oleksandr Usyk, who will be rematching Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia next month.
