The Fourth of July opportunities to pay attention to are:
Nathan’s hot dog eating competition
Every year, a group of people gather at Coney Island for the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
The competition usually sees participants eat as many hot dogs as they can in 10 minutes.
Joey Chestnut broke his own record in 2021 by eating 76 hot dogs and sandwiches, he is also the favorite to win the 2022 event, according to Newsweek.
On the women’s side, Miki Sudo holds the records after eating 48 hot dogs and sandwiches in 2020.
The 2022 event can be watched live on ESPN.
The men’s section is scheduled to start at 12:00 EST with the women’s section starting at 10:45 EST.

Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular
Along with hosting the annual Thanksgiving Day parade, Macy’s is also hosting the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular.
The special offer is presented in New York City, and includes musical performances by today’s biggest stars.
If you can not see the fireworks in person, you can watch them at home on NBC from 8:00 PM EST.
