Kate and Prince William take summer vacation with kids ahead of ‘major changes’ | Royal | News

Royal author Katie Nicholl said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are likely to spend the summer holidays at their Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk. Ms Nicholl said the holiday would bring a “sense of normalcy” ahead of a “significant amount of changes”.

William and Kate move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

Prince George, eight, and Princess Charlotte, seven, are reportedly moving out of school, while Prince Louis, four, is also attending nursery.

Mrs Nicholl said: OKAY! magazine: “I expect we will see them spending time in Norfolk as they do every year.

“They have always enjoyed their bucket and spade days at the beach together and love sailing.

“Kate taught William and all the little ones how to sail so I imagine they will practice.

“The kids can run around freely in the huge open spaces and have a picnic with the various friends the Cambridges have there.

“So I think while their brand new life in Windsor is about to begin, their summer on the coast will bring a sense of normalcy.

“They will experience a significant number of changes in the coming weeks; In addition to moving to Windsor, George, Charlotte and Louis will all be enrolling in brand new schools, which is understandably a daunting concept.

George and Charlotte are reportedly set to leave Thomas’s Battersea to enroll at a new school in Berkshire.

A major factor in Kate and William’s decision to move was to be closer to the Queen, who is primarily based in Windsor Castle.

They will also be closer to Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton who live in Bucklebury.

Earlier this month, a source told The Sun: “Kate and William really wanted a modest home to start their new life in Windsor.

“Adelaide Cottage fits the bill as it’s a four bedroom house and they don’t need them anymore as they don’t have a live-in staff.

“They were adamant that they didn’t want anything that was too flashy or something that needed renovation or extra security so as not to burden taxpayers.

“The added bonus is that they can send George, Charlotte and Louis to school together.

“They had no other requirements than a nice family home close to schools and the Queen.”
