Kate, 42, told her health struggles was a “huge shock” to her after further testing after her abdominal surgery in January.

The mother of three said the family now needs “time, space and privacy” while she completes her treatment.

Kate, who is undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer, also said she will not return to public duties for some time. future.

Her last public sighting was in mid-March, when she and her husband Prince William was filmed leaving a farm shop near their home in Windsor.

But sources have since reported that the royal was recently out and about with her family, including children Prince George10, Princess Charlotte9, and Prince Louis6.

Now royal biographer Richard Fitzwilliams has said these reports show Kate is taking a “positive” step in the right direction.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Mr Fitzwilliams said: “I think everyone is clearly hoping that it won't be long before she makes global commitments, but before that happens I would suspect she would probably be seen, and it The fact that we know she has been seen everywhere is clearly positive.

“I mean, it's very difficult at a time like this because, as we know, she has to have major abdominal surgery and is undergoing preventive chemotherapy.

“But this is an indication that is favorable and I just hope that things go in the right direction.”

However, the royal biographer suggested it could be a while before we see Kate attending royal engagements.

He continued: “I think the indication of this particular release of information seems very clearly positive.

'But what we don't expect are royal engagements or anything like that in the near future.

“Clearly this is something substantial and needs to be addressed in a way that is of course approved by her doctors.

'With illness we never know how it will develop, and one of the problems is also that it is very difficult, especially for royal planners.

“The diaries are filled for a long period of time, a long period of time in advance. So how do you know exactly how good someone is going to be at that moment? I mean, the answer is, you don't know.”

The princess of Wales has reportedly continued to receive an outpouring of support, including “tens of thousands” of get-well cards.

Palace Officials are said to be “so touched” but her team is struggling to cope with the volume of correspondence, the Mail reports.

The court Post office normally expects about 1,000 letters a week, but the volume has exceeded that since March.

And Mr Fitzwilliams said this support would only help her recovery.

The royal biographer added: “There has been a huge amount of support since her video message in March.

“The sheer number of cards and so on, that's charming.”

In her video message, Kate admitted it had been an “incredibly tough few months” for her whole family – but was grateful for the messages of support.

Complete message from Princess Kate

I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding while I was recovering from surgery.

It's been an incredibly tough few months for our whole family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.

In January I had major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was deemed to be non-cancerous. The operation was successful.

However, tests after the surgery revealed that cancer was present. My medical team therefore recommended that I undergo a preventive course of chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that
therapy.

This obviously came as a huge shock, and William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.

As you can imagine, this has taken time. It took me time to recover from major surgery before I could start my treatment.

But the most important thing is that it took us time to explain everything
George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suits them, and to reassure them that I will be fine.

As I told them; I am doing well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirit.

Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance. As does the love, support and kindness shown by so many of you.

It means so much to both of us. We hope you understand that we as a family now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment.

My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.

At this time I also think of all those whose lives have been touched by cancer. To anyone facing this disease in any form, please do not lose faith and hope.

You are not alone.

Sitting on a bench in Windsor for the poignant clip, the royal continued thank her husband Prince William for his support.

Her voice also cracked when she said she had done that broke the news to George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and five-year-old Louis.

It comes as Kate is said to be “excited”. by her company The Taskforce's new report says Britain could rake in £45.5 billion in economic revenue advantages when companies prioritize early childhood.

She has followed the work of the CEOs she convened last year to drive corporate action on the importance of the early years of a child's development.

The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood has produced a report recommending a range of interventions, from creating a culture within and outside companies that prioritises childhood to supporting parents with more resources and flexibility in the workplace.

The eight-member task force includes the CEOs of Ikea, NatWest group and Deloitte – and their report highlights how the country could benefit from an estimated £45.5 billion.

The report follows the launch of Kate's long-term Shaping Us campaign in January last year, described as the Princess's 'life's work' and aimed at highlighting the crucial first five years of a child's life.

Christian Guy, Executive Director of the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, informed Kate about the new report she has read and said she was “excited” about the document.

He said: “Shaping Us was about awareness, but for her too it's so important to take action.

Prince William is a pillar of support for Kate

EXPERT analysis by author and royal expert Ingrid Seward:

Steadfast when his family needed him, William has proven to be a man and future monarch of strength and compassion.

While he may not have been present during Kate's courageous video speech – make no mistake, he has been by her side every step of the way.

William has stepped up his school duties and provided his wife with a “great source of comfort and reassurance.”

But he was also a comforting and reassuring presence for the audience.

From leading members of the Royal family at the Commonwealth Day Service to cheerful chatting with young people during a visit to a youth center, he has not put a step wrong.

But at the end of the day, he's only human.

To have your father and your wife diagnosed with cancer in such quick succession is heartbreaking.

It is a remarkable insight into the character of this young man that he was so incredibly brave.

There is a very personal turmoil that has been brought into the public arena by the nature of their roles as future king and queen.

William must feel the weight of enormous responsibility, both personally and for the monarchy of which he is now the public face.

But he knows his most important role is that of father and husband.

He will make that his priority.

This is a marked difference from the customs of the past, when your royal role came before the role of spouse and parent.

Think back to when the queen was young.

William's priority is his family

It was a man's world then – and she was forced to abandon her children in a way William is determined not to.

William and Kate waited until the school year was over and their children were home before making their public announcement.

They had to be prepared.

They will have had the full support of Charles in this – who knows what it feels like to be raised by nannies.

William was also acutely aware of his own father's lack of presence in his life, especially when things went wrong.

In 1991, he was accidentally hit in the head with a golf club while he was at school and Diana was having lunch at her favorite restaurant, San Lorenzo.

A call came in saying William had been hit on the head and they thought he was going to die, so it was very serious.

Both Charles and Diana rushed to Ludgrove.

William was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital and then to Great Ormond Street Hospital and Diana went with him.

But Charles was always a man of duty and prioritized his assignments.

William is determined to do things differently.

“So for eight of Britain's most important companies to come forward, it is vital to put the case to their fellow business leaders. It is exciting for her and it is a priority for the future of the work of our center.”

Mr Guy added: “This is another pivotal moment for Her Royal Highness's work in early childhood as its impact, and the work of her Early Childhood Center, continues as she recovers.”

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace insisted the launch was not a signal that Kate was “returning to work”.

They said: “…early childhood is a major priority for the Princess of Wales and she has been kept fully informed of the whole process and development of the task force's work and has seen the report… “
