The Sky News presenter lashed out at the Labor MP for his comparison of Boris Johnson who is battling to stay in 10th place when his handling of the spat over scandal-stricken former deputy head whip Chris Pincher became the latest issue to question his verdict. A humiliating apology from the prime minister failed to prevent the departure of two senior ministers and potential rivals in the leadership, with both writing inflammatory letters of resignation. Mr Bryant said, “Remember when he did all those things about Jimmy Savile?
“He has done much worse and I also want to know why Chris Pincher is still MP.”
Ms Burley intervened: “I’m not sure we can compare the Prime Minister to Jimmy Savile.”
The Labor MP continued: “I am not comparing him, I am comparing the Prime Minister who thought he was a sexual scourge, who was in charge of the welfare section of the whips office.
“That is a serious mistake and the Prime Minister said yesterday that he should have known that Chris Pincher could never learn and that he would never change.
