Disgraced star Kevin Spacey has hit back at a series of new allegations that have emerged ahead of a new Channel 4 documentary next week.

Spacey, the Oscar-winning star of The Usual Suspects and American Beauty, was one of the most celebrated faces in Hollywood when allegations of sexual misconduct were first made against him in 2017.

In the wake of these claims, streaming giant Netflix cut all ties with the actor and wrote him out of his signature TV series House of Cards. He was also removed from the film All The Money In The World, in which his scenes were reshot. replacing him with Christopher Plummer.

The actor was the same last year acquitted of the sexual offenses allegedly committed by four men between 2001 and 2013. He also won a US civil lawsuit in October 2022 after being accused of making unwanted sexual advances at a party in 1986.

The upcoming two-part documentary Spacey Unmasked is said to feature further testimonies from ten alleged victims, relating to – according to the actor – 'events they say occurred between 1976 and 2013, involving what they describe as unwanted sexual behavior.'

The actor has denied these new allegations and appeared in a new interview with former GB News presenter Dan Wootton entitled Kevin Spacey: Right Of Reply.

In this, his first interview in seven years, Spacey speaks out against the documentary and its claimants.

“I take full responsibility for my past behavior and actions, but I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who has made things up about me or written exaggerated stories about me,” Spacey said.

I have never told anyone that if he gives me sexual favors, I will help him with his career. Never.

I've obviously been in contact with a number of men who thought they could get ahead in their careers if they were in a relationship with me.”

But there was no conversation with me, it was all part of their plan, a plan that was always doomed to fail because I was not involved in the deal,” he continued.

Spacey subsequently denied all allegations of illegal behavior. “Were there times when I flirted with twenty-somethings involved in those programs? Yes,' he said.

Have I ever hooked up with another actor? Yes. Did I make a clumsy pass to someone who, it turns out, wasn't interested? Yes.'

But I didn't employ them, I wasn't their boss, I would often pop in for an hour here or there as a well-known actor to provide support… to answer questions,” Spacey continued.

“That may not have been the best decision and it's not something I would do today, but it happened.

It was not illegal, and it was never alleged to have been illegal.”

Even if it had happened, it's the kind of incident that when I was in my twenties would have been just embarrassing – but not criminal,” he finished.

About the subject the upcoming documentarySpacey seemed to become emotional and said, “I can't go through this again because I'm allowing myself to be baselessly attacked without defending myself.”

He said he 'repeatedly asked' Channel 4 to give him more than seven days to respond to the allegations about him – but claims the broadcaster refused.

Spacey Unmasked airs on Channel 4 on May 6 and 7.
