There are few greater simple pleasures than a nice glass of chocolate milk.

While we run for the cozy embrace of a mug of hot chocolate in the winter, when the temperature rises, we need another way to get our choccy fix.

Enter hot chocolate ice cubes.

These are just what they sound like: hot chocolate in ice cube form.

Add these to a glass of cold milk and voila: a delicious summer treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons chocolate milk powder
  • 200ml water
  • Cup of milk (any milk)
  • ice cube tray

Method:

  1. Start by mixing your chocolate powered with 200ml of hot water. Mix it well so there are no lumps (I used a milk frother)
  2. Pour the chocolate mix into an ice cube tray. Freeze for at least 2 hours so that the cubes are firm.
  3. Remove from the shell by rinsing under warm water and place in a glass.
  4. Add some milk and enjoy! So delicious!
