Okay, so you made some kind of pie and now you have some puff pastry left. What are you doing with it?
Here’s what we’d recommend: banana and peanut butter puff pastry wheels.
This is a super tasty snack that kids and adults alike will love, requiring only a few ingredients.
Don’t like banana or peanut butter? Don’t stress – you can make them with jam or Nutella instead.
This is how you make this easy snack.
Recipe: How to make banana and peanut butter puff pastry wheels
Ingredients:
- Puff pastry (about a third of a sheet)
- a banana
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- Milk
Method:
- Start by rolling out your puff pastry. Spread your peanut butter evenly throughout.
- Peel your banana and place it on the longest edge. Fold the dough over the banana and roll the banana into a blanket with both hands. At the end, close the opening by pressing it with your fingers.
- Cut the banana roll into 2 cm folding circles and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Brush with milk and bake in a hot oven at 180c for 15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy alone or with vanilla ice cream!
