One of the kidnapped passengers who spoke in the new video released by terrorists attacking a train in Kaduna has been identified as Hassan Usman, a lawyer.
In the new video, we see the terrorists thrashing some of the victims with sticks as they cried and begged for help.
Barrister Usman and several other victims appeared on camera and spoke, deploring the Nigerian government’s failure to secure their release.
“I am one of those involved in the train accident. That train belonged to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The government has a responsibility to save us, but it has failed,” Usman said.
“We appealed to our relations who were willing to save us, but the Nigerian government, being insensitive to our plight, did not allow our relations to save us.
“That is why we call on the great nations of the world, such as England, America, France and the rest of the international community, such as Saudi Arabia, to intervene in this matter and find a solution.
“Truly, these people (terrorists), they didn’t mean for us to spend even a week in captivity. They wanted their demands met, so they released us. But Nigeria showed no concern about this issue and showed no concern
“We therefore appeal to these great nations of the world, France, Saudi Arabia, England and America, the international community, ECOWAS, AU, they should please help and intervene in this matter. They should come and help us so that a solution can be found that will allow us to reunite with our families,” he added.
An Ahmed Abdul, who posted photos of the lawyer, described the new video as distasteful and traumatizing.
“The latest released flogging video of the abducted Abuja-Kaduna train passengers by the wicked kidnappers believed to be members of Boko Haram is distasteful, horrific and traumatizing,” he wrote.
“No reasonable person will have a good night’s sleep, when you watch that video, it’s so sad to see the Nigerian government dancing to the tune of these illiterate criminals.
