Representative Lauren Boebert hit back a Republican primary challenger in Colorado’s 3rd District and hit back a Republican primary challenger.
Republican Senator Don Coram has challenged Ms. Boebert despite her history of inflammatory remarks and antics since he defeated incumbent Representative Scott Tipton in a 2020 primary challenge.
Ms Boebert gained notoriety for being one of former President Donald Trump’s biggest supporters in the House of Representatives, along with representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Matt Gaetz of Florida and Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina.
Prior to the January 6 riot at the US Capitol, Ms Boebert said “Today is 1776” and during the actual demolition of the building, she tweeted that the speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, had been removed from the room.
In addition, Ms Boebert came under criticism after she joked about Representative Ilhan Omar who committed a terrorist attack, which resulted in Ms Omar receiving death threats.
Her victory comes a month after Mr. Cawthorn lost the Republican primary against Senator Chuck Edwards. But Republicans did not make a similar attempt to oust her, thanks in part to strong support from Mr. Trump.
Similarly, the American Muckrackers PAC, which provides unflattering information about Mr. Cawthorn revealed, promoting false rumors about me. Boebert who had several abortions and as a * job, which CNN denied.
Most recently, Ms. Boebert spoke during a rally in Illinois with Mr. Trump who supports Representative Mary Miller. She also spoke at a rally for Mr Trump in Wyoming in support of Harriet Hageman, who is running in a Republican primary against incumbent Liz Cheney.
Prior to the by-election, Ms Boebert’s campaign reported that it raised $ 623,585.30 between early April and June 8, but spent $ 781,777.32. At the same time, she also had $ 2 million in cash on hand.
