LEEDS apparently started talks with Tyler Adams of RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg midfielder Mohamed Camara.
Jesse Marsch needs to find a replacement for Manchester City-bound Calvin Phillips.
The young Leeds fan will join the Premier League champions in a £ 45 million deal.
And according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Marsch and football director Victor Orta are keen to replace two Red Bull players to replace Phillips.
Leipzig and the USA’s regular Adams are high on Leeds’ transfer list.
Marsch handed the then 16-year-old Adams his New York Red Bulls debut against Chelsea in 2015.
The American also helped facilitate Adams’ move to German-based Red Bull club Leipzig after agreeing to work under Ralf Rangnick.
Marsch said of Adams: “The ceiling is massive for him, everyone can see it.
“Of course I played a role in Tyler, and the relationship with the club, and the ultimate move to get here. I knew he would do well.”
He continued: “I think he exceeded my expectations, our expectations.

“There’s been a bit of talk, as if I’ve done so much to help Tyler, adapt here and do well. I do not think it hurts, but Tyler is why Tyler was successful.
“He is a special person, he is a special personality, he is a special talent and the ceiling for him is massive. Massive here in Leipzig and in the Bundesliga and beyond.
“I am therefore proud to be connected with him and to play a role in his development and I can not wait to see where he goes from here.”
Leeds are also keen for Camara, who plays for Austrian Red Bull club Salzburg.
Mali international Camara also played for Marsch and is said to be the more expensive option.
It looks like the Whites are going to lose another key man in Raphinha this summer.
Chelsea are securing the Brazilian’s services in what could be a £ 60 million plus deal.
Orta follows a number of players to replace Raphinha.
Belgian international Charles De Ketelaere draws interest from the Prem outfit.
I have scored 15 times for Club Brugge in the last term.
However, De Ketelaere is also being watched by Serie A champions AC Milan.
And Leeds may find it difficult to compete with Milan, who can host Champions League football.
