This is when armed police who were hunting Lillia Valutyte’s killer were hunted down and… arrested a man close to where the nine-year-old was stabbed to death.

At least 20 officers dived into an area where the “quiet” schoolgirl, who loved to dance and… Harry Potterwas killed in Lincolnshire.

The man they targeted fled through the Boston Central Park area, setting off a dramatic chase as shocked neighbors watched.

Watching the situation unravel, antique dealer Nedas Mikelionis, 24, said a drone eventually led police to the man.

“The street was suddenly full of police running everywhere,” he said The sun on Sunday. “Five police cars arrived and at least 20 officers got out, including some armed officers.

“The man they were looking for ran up to them and the police rushed out of the house they’d gone to and jumped into their cars to give chase.

“Looks like he ran through a backyard and then tried to run into a park.”

Police eventually got their hands on the suspect about 200 yards from where Lillia was fatally assaulted on Thursday and later died of a single stab wound.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed last night that a 22-year-old man was in custody after being arrested around 2:45pm on Saturday on suspicion of murder. They are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

According to locals, the tragedy “has something to do with some feud.”

Police are reportedly investigating a theory that it involves a fight over unpaid wages.

Tributes have been pouring in for Lillia, who was stabbed while playing with her sister in the street at an embroidery and screen printing shop run by her Lithuanian mother Lina Savicke.

According to locals, the girls had a hula hoop and a toy pram.

A note left at the scene by a school friend, 9, read, “You were the best friend. Hopefully you are in a better place with the angels now. You’re probably watching Harry Potter.’

Imani, 9, who is in Lillia’s class, told the Daily mail: ‘She was just a really sweet girl. She was kind, funny, loving and caring.’

Tia, the mother of another local schoolgirl, said, “It’s indescribably disgusting. Something needs to be done in this city to ensure that our children have a confident future and can walk the streets. They should feel safe.

“I was devastated and traumatized when I spoke to some of the other parents. Their children are heartbroken. It really shocked the city.’

As the investigation progresses, there will be “a significant police presence” in the city.
