Setting new standards for unparalleled performance
Expected to be commercially available in mid-2024, the Lion8 tractor is designed for unrivaled performance and operational efficiency and is emerging as the industry leader with the highest gross combination weight (GCWR) in the EV truck sector, weighing up to 127,000 lbs.
With a battery capacity of up to 630 kWh (Lion's Heavy-Duty Battery Packs), offering a range of up to 440 kilometers, the Lion8 tractor has been carefully designed for both power and endurance. Charging to 80% SOC (state of charge) at maximum power can be achieved in approximately 1.5 hours, ensuring maximum productivity.
Featuring a 6×4 axle configuration with two integrated 2-speed eAxles, the Lion8 Tractor ensures optimized force distribution and efficiency. The Lion-designed forward cab provides optimal visibility and maneuverability for the operator and sets the Lion8 Tractor as the new benchmark for electric freight transport.
The Lion8 Tractor is not only powerful. It's also intelligent, thanks to its patented 750V high energy density battery system and standard Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) compatibility.
