The crazy intersection features six separate arrows, three “Bus Gate” markers, a crossed-out bike sign and a jumble of hatch lines that drivers stunned.

Rules imposed by Sadiq Khan in 2020 means the iconic bridge can only be used during weekdays by pedestrians, buses, bicycles and black cabs.

A taxi driver said: “It’s like they just put new markings in without removing the old ones.

“It’s up there with the world’s worst-designed intersections. It’s ridiculous for what it is.

“Most traffic goes through the intersection anyway. No one needs a dozen painted arrows to drive in a straight line.

“Even the navigation system doesn’t know the correct road layout.”
